HSBC Champions Tips: Lee Westwood

Has an excellent record in the Far East including when second at the 2010 HSBC Champions. Finished T13 in Malaysia last week.

There is an elite field in China for the WGC event but at this time of year form is thin on the ground therefore backing players at the top of the market can be fraught with danger.

Last week Lee Westwood would have gone close in the CIMB Classic but for a poor back-nine on Saturday and he’s earned a second chance.

The Englishman has finished in the top-20 in four of his last six tournaments and his record in Asia is terrific.

Westwood has won seven times on the Asian Tour and has three top-15 finishes at Sheshan International GC including a runners-up spot in 2010.

At 40/1 (Paddy Power) he is a cracking each-way bet.
