WGC Bridgestone: Paul Casey

WGC Bridgestone: Paul Casey

Terrific ball striker who is back to his best and has a good record (five top-20s) at Firestone.

Having endured a fallow period beset by injury problems and a loss of form, Paul Casey is returning to the level that saw him reach a peak of number three in the world.

The 38-year-old has always been a terrific ball striker (7th in GIRs, 12th in total driving) and if he can hole a few putts he can go well at Firestone.

It is a course that suited him in the past; he was fourth in 2006 and has five top-20 finishes in just nine starts.

Casey has gone close on a couple of occasions this season, losing in playoffs at the Northern Trust Open and Travelers Championship.

The competition will be stiff this week but at 66/1 (Betfred) he is a good each-way bet with 1/4 odds for a top-5 finish.
