Wells Fargo: Cameron Tringale
T3 last week and ninth on tour for adjusted scoring average. Moderate record at Quail Hollow (T27 best) but extra distance off tee he's found in recent years makes him more competitive.
For much of his career Cameron Tringale was typecast as a straight but short hitter and that was a handicap in the big hitting league that is the PGA Tour. However Tringale went through a transformation in 2019.

Tringale has never better T27 at Quail Hollow but he’s not had many chances to test out his new found distance on what is a driver’s course. He could scarcely arrive in better form. He finished T3 at the Valspar Championship last week and is currently ranked 9th on tour for adjusted scoring average.
The naysayers will rightly point to 0 wins in 313 professional starts but this is a different Tringale we are dealing with and although winning is never easy, the evolution of his game now gives him more opportunities on a wider range of courses - Quail Hollow being a case in point.
