Texas Open Tips: Ryan Palmer

Lost at the Honda Classic in a playoff but can bounce back at his home event.

The Valero Texas Open is the first time we get to see Ryan Palmer since his playoff defeat at the Honda Classic and he’s got plenty of incentives to do well.

A bogey on the 72-hole cost him victory at the Honda and having finished second twice already this season, Palmer will be desperate to set the record straight.

The world number 62 needs a good week to get into the Masters and at his home event he can expect plenty of support in his quest.

The 37-year-old has finished T9-MC-T32-T15 in four visits to TPC San Antonio and is currently ranked 19th for adjusted scoring average on Tour. He deserves to be prominent in the betting and is a solid option at 25/1 (Paddy Power).
