Texas Open Tips: Charley Hoffman
Not finished lower than T13 in four visits to TPC San Antonio and arrives in good form.
Having never finished worse than T13 in four starts at TPC San Antonio, Charley Hoffman falls into the ‘course specialist’ bracket.
In the last four Texas Opens, he has finished T13-T2-T13-T3 and arrives in good form with six top-25 finishes from ten starts this season.
If it wasn’t for a poor front-nine on Sunday last year, he would probably be coming back to defend his title. Three over through ten holes ruined his chances and not even a run of six birdies in eight holes could rectify that.
The 37-year-old will be looking for redemption this week and at 33/1 (Coral) he is a fair each-way bet given his course record.
