Utah Championship: Adam Svensson

Utah Championship: Adam Svensson

Missed cut last week but hit 77%+ fairways and GIRs. Previously in good form and doesn't need to change much in his game.

Adam Svensson disappointed last week at the LECOM Health Challenge missing the cut after we’d tipped him but the logic was sound. Having followed his round closely he actually played much better than he scored.

The young Canadian hit 82% of fairways and 78% of GIRs, unfortunately his putter was freezing cold and he averaged 1.929 putts per GIR. Predicting when the putter will get hot again is difficult but it was working in June when he finished T8 at the Rust-Oleum and T23 at the Lincoln Land. It’s not hard envisaging him returning to that form with his ball-striking on song.

Svensson finished T21 at the Utah Championship last year and although the tournament moves to a new venue at Oakridge Country Club, there is a good chance he goes well again.
