Utah Championship Tips: Tyler McCumber
Won twice on the Latino-America Tour last year and his power off the tee will be an advantage on this long course.
Tyler McCumber didn’t do much when we tipped him at the Stonebrae Classic but at 400/1 (Bet365) you don’t need much encouragement to dive in.
The 24-year-old won twice last season on the Latino-America Tour and although he’s struggled to carry that form onto the Web.com Tour there have been glimmers of hope.
McCumber’s strength is off the tee, where he ranks 10th in driving distance and that could be a crucial factor on the Johnny Miller-designed Thanksgiving Point GC which stretches over 7,700 yards.
Despite a recent missed cut, it wasn’t long ago that he finished T25 at the Nova Scotia Open whilst playing with a pinched nerve in his neck.
Given his long odds, we can still win big by landing the place money in our each-way bet.
