Masters: Shane Lowry

Finished 25-4-12-43 in the Majors last season and seems to be getting to grips with Augusta with his last two visits being his best. Ranked fifth for adjusted scoring average on PGA Tour.

Currently ranked 5th on tour for adjusted scoring average Shane Lowry is enjoying (statistically) and excellent season on the PGA Tour, yet he is rather forgotten in the betting. That seems slightly disrespectful as this is a Major winner, who hasn’t missed a cut in golf’s premier events since his win at the 2019 Open Championship. Indeed, last year he finished 25-4-12-43 in the Majors to suggest he isn’t just ‘one and done’.

Lowry biggest weakness is his putter but this season he currently ranks 18th for strokes gained and that could prove massive because his long game and touch around the greens has been first class for many years now. Like many it’s taken time for Lowry to get to grips with Augusta but finishes of 25-21 on his last two visits suggest he is working the place out.

With bookmakers offering very generous terms it’s worth shopping around but 50/1 with Bet365 paying 8 places at 1/5 odds hits the spot.
