Trophee Hassan Tips: Shane Lowry

Had a quiet start to the year but finished T17 on his last visit to Morocco and his chances will increase if the wind blows.

Shane Lowry’s barely got out of the blocks this season and had to wait until the Tshwane Open to make his first cut of 2014.

Understandably the bookmakers have shunted him out to 70/1 but the Irishman is still one of the most talented players in the field.

He was 26th in last year’s Race to Dubai, his best finishes coming at the Irish Open and Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Lowry doesn’t mind if the wind blows because his strongest results have come by the coast; he also won the Portugal Masters at Vilamoura. Situated on the Atlantic, Golf du Palais Royal is also exposed to the elements.

Lowry finished T17 on his last visit to the course in 2012 and with the trade winds on his side he is overpriced at 70/1 (Bet365).
