Travelers Championship Tips: Russell Knox
The short course, by modern standards, plays to his strengths and Knox arrives in good form. Four top-25s in last five starts.
The Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands is one of the shorter course on tour and that gives Russell Knox a chance.
The 30-year-old is only 140th in driving distance but his strength is finding fairways and greens.
He did that last year, over 70% driving accuracy and GIRs, unfortunately his putter was freezing cold. Knox finished T61 but ranked penultimate (76/77) in strokes gained putting.
The Scot is enjoying another fine season, without a missed cut since late March and on a run of four top-25s in his last five starts.
If he can get the putter working as it did for his T13 finish in 2013, then he should be a contender at 50/1 (Coral).
