Travelers Championship Tips: Brandt Snedeker
Finished in the top-10 in his last three starts on tour, recapturing his early season form.
Much was written about the state of the greens at Chambers Bay so there is no point in going over old ground, suffice to say when putting turns into a lottery the best exponents lose their edge.
Brandt Snedeker falls into that category. He is ranked sixth in strokes gained putting this season but that wasn’t much use at the US Open, when the ball was bouncing on the greens.
Despite being stripped of his biggest asset, he still finished a highly commendable eighth, his third top-10 finish in a row. The 34-year-old seems to have recaptured his early season form and that bodes well for TPC River Highlands.
Last year Snedeker finished T11 but if it wasn’t for a poor third round he would have been in contention for the win. If the US Open hasn’t worn him out, then he should go well at 14/1 (Paddy Power).
