Tournament Of Champions Tip: Aaron Baddeley
Fourth visit to Kapalua and room off the tee helps his wayward driving. Has a dynamic short game.
Aaron Baddeley is back at Kapalua for the first time since 2012 but this will be his fourth visit to the Plantation course having finished 27-12-21 on his previous visits.
The Australian punched his ticket to Hawaii with victory in the Barbasol Championship and this should be another course that suits his game.
Baddeley is wild off the tee (ranked 159th in total driving) but there is plenty of room on Kapalua and he will make up shots with his dynamite short game.
Last season Baddeley ranked in the top-10 for strokes gained around the green and strokes gained putting and his game isn’t dissimilar to Jordan Spieth, who has such a good record here.
At 125/1 (BetVictor) he is a lively outsider in a tournament where it’s difficult to gauge player form.
