Tiger 4/1 To Win The Open

Zach Johnson might be the clubhouse leader after day one of the Open but the former Masters champions is 11/1 (Paddy Power) in the betting. The favourite is Tiger Woods, a best price 4/1 (Ladbrokes) despite sitting three shots off the lead.

Next in the betting is Phil Mickelson at 10/1 (Coral) followed by fellow Americans Brandt Snedeker and Dusting Johnson.

According to the bookmakers Lee Westwood heads the challenge from the UK, he is one-over par and is a skinny looking 28/1 (Bet365) for the title. A more realistic contender could be Martin Laird at 40/1 (Bet365). The big-hitting Scot looks comfortable on the quick greens and is already a winner on tour this year.
