RSM Classic Tips: Russell Henley
Finished T4 last year after leading at the halfway stage. Has the game for the course, is a tremendous driver and putter.
Russell Henley is a player I enjoy backing because he’s not scared of winning. At the start of his career he was quite inconsistent but he’s much more reliable now (only four missed cuts last season) and two wins in just 81 starts is an impressive strike rate.
The 25-year-old is a terrific driver of the ball (7th in total driving last season) and an excellent putter (9th in strokes gained putting) the two elements you need to be successful at Sea Island.
Henley finished T4 last year having been leading at the halfway stage and perhaps feels it’ a tournament he let slip.
He warmed up nicely with a top-10 at the Shirners Open and is a good each-way bet at 30/1 (Bet365).
