RSM Classic: Peter Uihlein

Enjoyed a largely injury free campaign which has seen him win on the Korn Ferry Tour and return to the PGA Tour. Finished 7th here in 2018 and has some classy back form.

Injury has blighted Peter Uihlein’s career over the years but 2021 must be classed as a success. He is back in the winner’s circle, has earned a PGA Tour card and is steadily climbing back up the world rankings.

Uihlein’s rebuild has come away from the cameras on the Korn Ferry Tour but that was a period at the back-end of the summer when he was near the top of leaderboards in what seemed almost a weekly basis. A return of one win, two second places and two further top-10s is statistically his best since 2017 when he was on the fringes of the top-50 in the world.

Given this resurgence i’m surprised he is overlooked in the betting given he finished 7th at this event in 2018. A decent wind player and excellent putter, I can see why Sea Island suits. Cuts made at the Fortninet and Bermuda Championship suggest there’s some form in his game and he is worth a roll of the dice.
