McGladrey Classic Tips: Cameron Tringale

Finished last season strongly with a good run through the Playoffs and can prosper on a course where short-hitters aren’t at a disadvantage.

Without a win on tour in 138 starts, Cameron Tringale is a player who often flatters to deceive but the way he finished last season I’m willing to reassess my opinion.

The 27-year-old was runner-up at the Barclays and made it all the way through to the Tour Championship, some effort given the quality of players he faced.

Tringale should take great confidence from his efforts and that might help him fulfil his potential.

He is one of the shortest hitters on tour, so has to pick his battles carefully, but measuring just 7,055 yards the Seaside Course at Sea Island Resort is within his reach.

Tringale has a couple of top-30 finishes at the event and whilst his game is on-song he is a good each-way bet at 66/1 (Ladbrokes).
