McCumber Can Follow In Father’s Footsteps

Won twice on the Latino-America tour last year and finished T25 at the Nova Scotia Open despite battling a pinched never in the neck.

It has been 21 years since Mark McCumber won on the PGA Tour but the McCumber surname might be up in lights again thanks to the exploits of his son – Tyler.

The 24-year-old is in his first season on the Web.com Tour but he’s already enjoyed success in his young career, winning twice on the Latino-America last year.

McCumber has not been able to translate that form to the Web.com Tour yet but he’s getting more consistent, missing only two of his last six cuts.

A fortnight ago he finished T25 at the Nova Scotia Open an impressive effort considering he played through the pain-barrier with a pinched nerve in his neck that prevented hitting driver on certain holes.

Back fit and raring to go, he can emulate fellow big hitter Tony Finau and take the Stonebrae Classic at a massive 250/1 (Bet365).
