Jorge Fernández-Valdés won twice on the Latino-America Tour and went close last week in the Boise Open.

Jorge Fernández-Valdés was unable to reel in tear-away leader Martin Piller last week but he finished solo second at the Boise Open and is a big price to continue his good form.

The young Argentinian hasn’t missed a cut since the Dallas Open in early June and he needs to keep pressing because he sits 23rd on the money list.

Fernández-Valdés enjoyed a good amateur career, finishing runner up in the 2010 Junior World Golf Championship and twice being the low amateur in the Argentine Open.

Since turning professional he’s continued to improve. He won on the Latino-America Tour in 2013 and 2014 and a win on the Web.com is the natural progression.

He hits the ball a long way and is currently 13th for birdie average, a combination that could prove deadly at TPC Stonebrae.

At 100/1 (Paddy Power) he is a cracking each-way bet with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
