St Jude Classic Tips: Chez Reavie
Cooled off since start of year but starting to make cuts again and course record is MC-27-12.
Chez Reavie has struggled to recapture his early season form but after a run of six missed cuts in seven starts, he is now 4/5 in weekends made. A T39 finish is the best he has to show during that run but there’s plenty of positives to take.
At the Players, he ranked third for GIRs and on a tough course that is an impressive statistic. The problem for Reavie is putting all elements of his game together for four days.
An infrequent visitor to Mephis, his record of MC-27-12 at TPC Southwind is actually OK and this is a tournament that has produced surprise winners over the years. His lack of length off the tee won’t be an issue this week (Brian Gay has won round here) and this isn’t the deepest of fields.
