St Jude Championship: Trey Mullinax

Winner on the PGA Tour only three starts back and finished T21 at the Open after playing two rounds with a bent putter. Record at TPC Southwind is 18-6 and fifth in strokes gained at the course

It’s Playoff time on the PGA Tour and Trey Mullinax enters it as a PGA Tour winner. However, the strong field has seen him priced as a relative no-hoper and that feels very odd. His last three starts have seen him finished 1-21-37, with a fine showing in the middle at the Open Championship. He was the last man in the field and played the first two rounds with a bent putter - a fine showing.

The FedEx St Jude has been shunted around the schedule but TPC Southwind remains the host and that is good news for Mullinax because in two visits he has finished T18-T6 and in the field he ranks 5th in strokes gained at the course.

Still riding high after his win at the Barbasol Championship there is a good chance he goes well again at a track his likes. William Hill are paying 1/5 odds for a top-8 finish.
