Staying Out For The Summerhays
Ranked third in strokes gained putting last season and has made the cut four times in five visits to Oahu.
Daniel Summerhays is still looking for his first tour win in 143 starts but he might catch a few players cold in Hawaii.
The 32-year-old started the wrap-around season with finishes of T32-T16-T14-T44 and the last time he missed a cut was way back at the start of August at the Quicken Loans National.
Waialae is a good fit for Summerhays, he has finished T34-T46-MC-T46-T17 in five visits and like past winners he is an excellent putter. Last season he ranked an excellent third in strokes gained putting behind Aaron Baddeley and defending champions Jimmy Walker.
If Summerhays gets hot on the greens he could outrun odds of 125/1 (Coral).
