Sony Open Tips: David Hearn
Broken par in 10/14 rounds at Waialae and closed 2014 with three consecutive top-16 finishes.
Canadian golf is enjoying a renaissance at the moment. Nick Taylor recently won the Sanderson Farms Championship, whilst Graham DeLaet has done everything bar win.
Add Adam Hadwin, Roger Sloan and David Hearn to the list and suddenly there is depth to the roster.
Last season we saw the Australians inspire each other to victory and perhaps the Canadians can do the same.
From the names mentioned, David Hearn stands-out. In four visits to Waialae Country Club he has finished T68-T10-T31-T38, breaking par in 10 of his last 14 rounds.
The 35-year-old finished 2014 strongly with three consecutive top-16 finishes and this excellent putter looks overpriced at 100/1 (Coral) with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
