Aussies On A Roll

After several years in the doldrums he’s found some form again and ranks 42nd for adjusted scoring average. Won in 2006 and twice a runner-up.

Since Adam Scott won the Masters, it has been a tremendous 12 months for Australian golf.  Jason Day, John Senden and Steven Bowditch have all won on the PGA Tour and the good vibes might carry Stuart Appleby over the line.

The 42-year-old has won nine times on the PGA Tour, the last of which came at the Greenbrier Classic in 2010. It has been a struggle since but this season he’s enjoying something of a revival.

Appleby has recorded two top-10 finishes in the last three months, a fair effort considering he only managed two in the previous three years!

Traditionally one of the best putters on tour, he’s starting to find the centre of the hole again and that’s seen him rise to 42nd in adjusting scoring average.

Having won the Houston Open in 2006 and twice finished runner-up, he is massively overpriced at 225/1 (Bet365). Back him each-way and get ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
