Uihlein It Up At Scottish Open

Uihlein It Up At Scottish Open

Finished T10 in 2013 and runner-up at the Dunhill Links. Forgiving set-up should help his wayward driving.

The names of Brooks Koepka and Peter Uihlein seem permanently intertwined in the world of golf.

They took the unusual step of starting their professional careers on the European Challenge Tour rather than in their native America.

For a while there was little to split them, but recently Brooks Koepka has surged ahead with Uihlein the forgotten man.

The good news is that we can bag a triple figure price on the former US Amateur champion because although his form has been sketchy at best, the talent remains.

The problem for Uihlein has been finding fairways, he ranks 202 in driving accuracy but that might not be an issue at Gullane. The Scottish Open has a much more generous set-up compared to the Open with less rough yielding low winning scores.

The 25-year-old finished T10 in 2013 and is also a runner-up at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship so the course should suit his game.

He can get his season back on track at 125/1 (Bet365) with ¼ odds for a top-6 finish.
