BMW International Open: Romain Langasque

Finished T31 here in 2017 snapping a run of seven consecutive missed cuts. Returns in much better form with three top-6 finishes in six starts and ranked 19th in stroke average this season.

Last summer Romain Langasque was languishing at 797th in the world but the Frenchman kicked started his upturn by winning on the Challenge Tour and has continued that resurgence onto the European Tour.

Romain Langasque has been highly touted since winning the Amateur Championship in 2015 and then finishing runner-up three times in his first year as a professional. Progression in golf rarely follows a linear path and there have been dips since but the talent never went away.

The 24-year-old has finished in the top-6 in three of his last six starts and although his putting still needs to improve, his long game is good enough to win at regular tour event. The BMW International Open last visited Golfclub München Eichenried in 2017 and Langasque snapped a run of 7 missed cuts with a T31 finish. He returns in better form and should be winning at this level very soon.
