Sanderson Farms Tips: Martin Flores

Hitting plenty of greens and just waiting for the putter to heat up. Impressed when third at Quail Hollow earlier this year.

Martin Flores is still looking for his first tour win in 113 starts but last season we saw glimpses of his potential.

Technically a very sound golfer, I was impressed by the way he held his nerve to finish third at the Wells Fargo amongst an elite field, on a tough course.

Being near the top of the leaderboard all four days must have been mentally challenging for a player not used to the limelight. Although he didn’t win, it showed he has the capacity to play well under pressure.

The 32-year-old has started the new season relatively slowly but that is to be expected from a player who didn’t go beyond the first round of the Playoffs.

The Texan has gone MC-T56-T69 in his last three starts but he’s hit a minimum 72% GIRs in each tournament and if the putter heats up he could outrun odds of 200/1 (Bet365).
