Rex Hospital Open: Wyndham Clark
Keeps chucking in a bad 9-holes when in contention. Probably a lack of experience from the 24-year-old but he is learning fast and has the tools to win on tour.
I’ve had a few bets on Wyndham Clark this season but he just keeps coming unstuck with 9 bad holes of golf. In Nashville last week he shot 42 for the front-9 on Saturday and destroyed his chances when well placed and it was a similair story at the United Leasing Championship when he torpedoed his tournament with a 41 for the front-9 on Saturday.
Rather than create scar-tissue this is part of the learning curve for the 24-year-old who is still inexperience at this level. What isn’t in doubt is his talent. He hits it a mile, putts well and makes a tonne of birdies; he’s not dissimilar to 2016 champion Trey Mullinax.
With finished of 17-2-3-MC-11 in his last five starts i’d be shocked if he didn’t win soon.
