RBC Heritage Tips: Lucas Glover
Ranked first on tour in GIRs and has four top-20s at Harbour Town just needs a reasonable week on the greens.
Whenever the primary challenge on the PGA Tour is tee-to-green Lucas Glover has to enter the equation.
The former US Open Champions is first on tour for GIRs, total driving and ball striking unfortunately it’s on the greens where he lets himself down. That is the reason why he resides in the tripe-figure price bracket but I think he’s worth the risk.
Harbour Town has some of the smallest greens on tour and last season it was the easiest course to one-putt on. That should help Glover who struggles with his midrange putting (151st in putting from 15-20 feet) but isn’t so bad closer in (91st putting inside 10 feet).
Lucas Glover has played Harbour Town thirteen times over the years with four top-20 finishes and if he can putt reasonable well he should out-run odds of 150/1 (William Hill).
