Heritage Tips: Chez Reavie

Heritage Tips: Chez Reavie

Finished T33 last year and leads the tour in proximity to the hole from the fairway.

Twelve months ago, I tipped Chez Reavie for the RBC Heritage despite his moderate course record. He finished T33, he highest ever placing and on paper he is a perfect statistical fit.

Reavie isn’t long but he is gun-barrel straight and he leads the tour in proximity to the hole from the fairway; Jim Furyk led the same category when triumphant at Harbour Town in 2015.

The 35-year-old has suffered with injuries over the year and has missed the cut in five of his last six starts. In his favour, he’s not been shooting monstrously high numbers and not all the courses would have suited him.

Back on a more favourable layout he could return to the sort of form that saw him start the year with consecutive top-15 finishes at the Sony Open and CareerBuilder Challenge. Back Reavie at 250/1 with Boylesports and get 1/5 odds for a top-6 finish.
