Quicken Loans National Tips: Patton Kizzire
Has five top-10s despite struggling off the tee. Improved of late and ranked second in driving accuracy at the Memorial.
Before the season began, I highlighted Patton Kizzire as a rookie to watch and he almost immediately delivered with top-4 finishes at the Shirners and Sandersons Farms Championship.
The competition has got stiffer as the season progressed and although results have become more inconsistent, top-25s at the Heritage, Zurich Classic and Wells Fargo point to his huge promise.
A relatively late developer at 30, he bossed the Web.com Tour last year, winning twice and topping the money list.
Kizzire’s main weakness this season has been off the tee but at the Memorial he put in his best driving display of the year, hitting 86% of fairways and ranking second in driving accuracy.
His approach play and putting is good enough to win on tour and his 125/1 (BetVictor) quote is an attractive proposition.
