Quicken Loans National Tips: Daniel Berger

There is very little course form to go on in this week’s Quicken Loans National as the tournament moves to the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia for the first time.

With no obvious angle to exploit I’m simply picking three players who look overpriced on form and ability.

First up is Daniel Berger.

The tour rookie is enjoying an excellent season so far. He sits 37th in the FedEx Cup courtesy of ten top-25 finishes.

The 22-year-old lost in a playoff at the Honda Classic and has gone close on numerous other occasions.

He arrives in Virginia on the back of three missed cuts but one came in bad weather at the Open, whilst he missed the cut at the Greenbrier despite shooting a second round 66.

I think the bookmakers have overreacted because he shouldn’t be 100/1 (Coral) in this field.
