Quicken Loans National Tips: Brendon Todd

Finished 1-T5-T8-T17 on his last four starts and playing better than bigger names in the same price bracket.

I feel a bit peculiar backing Brendon Todd at 33/1 considering he used to regularly be four times the price but he’s playing outstanding golf and warrants being even shorter.

Including his win at the Byron Nelson he’s finished 1-T5-T8-T17 on his last four starts and was second at the halfway stage of the US Open.

I don’t think the 28-year-old is a ‘flash in the pan’ because his underlying statistics back up his good play. Todd is 7th for strokes gained putting and 12th for adjusted scoring average.

He’s playing considerably better than the likes of Brandt Snedeker, Keegan Bradley and Webb Simpson, all players in a similar price bracket.

We saw Jimmy Walker raise his game to a new level earlier in the season and I don’t see why Brendon Todd can’t do the same.

Last year he finished T13 at Congressional and his price of 33/1 (William Hill) is fair.
