Quicken Loans National Tip: Jimmy Walker

Health is on the mend after a horrible battle with Lyme disease. Last six tournaments have produced finishes of 4-25-2-6-20-56 and returning to the level that made him a major champion.

Jimmy Walker’s had a rough twelve months after both he and his wife contracted Lyme disease but the fact he continued playing is to his credit. The word is he’s feeling better now and that is translating into results as he’s not missed a cut since the Honda Classic in late February.

Apart from the obvious health concerns, it’s a real shame Jimmy Walker got ill so soon after winning his major title, it was well deserved and by disappearing off the radar people have forgotten what great strides the 39-year-old made with his game.

Top-10 finishes at the Texas Open, the Players and the Byron Nelson are evidence he’s close to his best and although his seasonal performance statistics are still slightly depressed he’s been playing some excellent stuff in the last month. He’s underrated at 35/1.
