Qatar Masters Tips: James Morrison

His T6 in Abu Dhabi went under the radar but he’s been playing well for a while now and looks overpriced.

Gary Stal rightly took the plaudits in Abu Dhabi but there were plenty of fine performances that went unnoticed, particularly the T6 for James Morrison.

The St. George’s Hill golfer has been enjoying a renaissance for the last six months and he’s missed just two cuts in his last 14 starts.

More recently, he’s been making inroads higher up the leaderboard and has finished T4-T15-T6 in his last three tournaments.

His T6 in Abu Dhabi was particularly impressive because he had the added pressure of playing with Rory McIlroy on ‘moving day’.

As it transpires the world number 1’s putting malaise spread to Morrison, who made 33 putts on Saturday.

The 29-year-old rebounded with a final round 67 and he can carry that confidence to Qatar where he is a generous 100/1 (Bet365) with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
