Portugal Masters Tips: James Morrison

His stroke average this season is the best of his career and his consistency can be rewarded in Portugal.

James Morrison has been chugging away under the radar but statistically 2014 is his best year on tour.

Financially it’s not a record, it doesn’t contain a win like his 2010 season but his stroke average of 70.8 is almost half a shot better than his previous best.

The Surrey based golfer has six top-30 finishes in his last nine starts and that consistency might eventually yield a high finish.

Morrison’s record at the Oceanico Victoria Golf Course isn’t particularly special but he did win the 2010 Madeira Open, which is technically part of Portugal!

At 175/1 (Bet365) he is worth a small investment with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
