Portland Open Tips: Sung Joon Park

Inconsistencies have come because he splits his time between Japan and Web.com tours but rounds of 66 & 64 last week showed his capabilities.

The Portland Open is the last regular event on the Web.com Tour, with the top-25 on the money list gaining promotion to the PGA Tour.

Given the Portland Open is a new event on the tour there is no course form to go on, instead I’m going for some old Betting Bias favourites, who remain win-less but overpriced.

Sung Joon Park is one of the better players on tour but unfortunately we rarely see him because he splits his time with the Japan Tour.

That’s taken its toll on occasions this season as he’s suffered from jet-lag but that shouldn’t be a problem this week on his second consecutive start in the USA.

He bookended his T30 finish at the News Sentinel Open with rounds of 66-64. He is perfectly capable of stringing four good rounds together and is over priced at 100/1.
