Portland Open Tips: Drew Weaver
Last week’s challenge was over before it started but battled back from a poor first round to finish T27. Leads tour in GIRs.
After a first round 74 I’d virtually torn up my Drew Weaver betting slip but the 29-year-old staged a miraculous recovery to eventually finish T27 at the News Sentinel Open.
That is now eight cuts in a row for Weaver, he leads the tour in GIRs and is third in the all-around ranking.
Unfortunately, Weaver still has work to secure a tour card for next season as he sits 93rd in the money list but the ability is there.
A solitary top-10 falls short of what his game deserves but there is still time for him to get his reward. At 90/1 (Bet365) he makes our staking plan again.
