Portland Open Tips: Brian Campbell
Ranked in the top-5 for a whole host of metrics on the Web.com Tour and should be shorter in the betting.
Brian Campbell was derailed at the News Sentinel Open by a third round 72 but everything we said a week ago still holds.
Sat 13th in the money list he is virtually assured of a PGA Tour card next season with one tournament to go, therefore anything he achieves at Pumpkin Ridge is a bonus
Campbell is ranked inside the top-5 on tour for total driving, putting, scoring average and the all-around ranking. There are hardly any weaknesses to his game and he just needs a win to cap a magnificent season.
Last season he missed the cut at the Portland Open but the fact he’s seen the course is a bonus. He was leading amateur at Chambers Bay in 2015 and he can build on that promise with a strong showing at Witch Hollow.
