Open D’Italia Tips: Adrien Saddier

Still needs some reasonable finishes to secure his card for next year but recent results suggest he is rising to the challenge.

My second selection for the Open D’Italia is another talented golfer in his early twenties – Adrien Saddier.

The young Frenchman only turned pro in July 2013 and he’s been in a hurry ever since. He finished sixth at Q-School in only his seventh start and a few more good results could secure his card for a second season.

In recent weeks, Saddier’s game has been coming to the boil with finishes of T12-T39-T39.

His finish in the Czech Republic could have been even better if he’d holed some putts; Saddier ranked 14th for GIRs but only 64th in putts per GIR.

If the flat stick heats up in Turin, he could outrun odds of 200/1 (Paddy Power).
