Italian Open Tips: Daniel Brooks
Finished T33 last year but was on for a top-10 before losing ground on Sunday. Excellent putter capable of going very low.
Daniel Brooks may have a tour win under his belt, the ill-fated 2014 Madeira Islands Open but 2016 is lining up to be his most successful season in earnings.
The 29-year-old has finished in the money 17/24 times and can set his sights slightly higher for the remainder of the year. A T18 in Denmark was encouraging and there have been glimpses since with rounds of 64-66-66 at the European Masters and the KLM Open without ever stringing four rounds together.
Brooks is capable of going low and has experience of playing GC Milano after finishing T33 last year, a result that would have been far better but for a final round 73.
The course should suit his game and this excellent putter shouldn’t be 225/1 (Bet365).
