Open de France Tips: Matteo Manassero

Open de France Tips: Matteo Manassero

Game is returning after a couple of years in the doldrums. Has four top-30 finishes at Le Golf National.

Matteo Manassero has suffered huge ups and downs in his young career but the 24-year-old looks to be on the way back. Having been a regular inside the top-50 of the world rankings, he slipped outside the top-500 in 2015 but he’s on the march again.

Attempts to gain length off the tee ruined his game but he’s put it back together and is enjoying a productive 2017. Manassero has only missed 2/12 cuts and although he is short of big cheques he finished T3 at the India Open.

A terrific iron player, the young Italian is well suited by the challenge of Le Golf National. His course record is 26-30-17-25-48-MC-MC and those last two missed cuts were when he was really struggling with his game.

We shouldn’t forget this is a player who has four European Tour wins under his belt and was the youngest ever winner of the BMW PGA Championship in 2013. Back Manassero with Stan James at 200/1 and get 6 places at 1/4 odds.
