Dustin Johnson has four top-5s in eight starts at Riviera and his game is tailor made for the course.
Betting on Dustin Johnson might not be everybody’s idea of fun, especially if you’ve been on the wrong end of one of his major meltdowns but he’s managed nine tour win in just 183 starts.
Johnson is currently on an active streak of eight consecutive seasons with at least one PGA Tour victory and there’s a good chance he can keep the run going at Riviera.
His record in this event reads 59-10-3-MC-4-MC-2-2 and after several near misses I’m sure it’s a title he wants on his CV.
Riviera sets up nicely for a player who ranked ninth in strokes gained tee-to-green last season and I wouldn’t be put off by his T41 finish at Pebble Beach last week.
So far in the wraparound season Dustin Johnson has three top-20s in four official events, which includes a T18 at the Farmers Insurance Open despite a final round 80. Having lost in a playoff last year, he can go one better at 18/1 (BetVictor).
