Knoxville Open Tip: Michael Hebert

On a hot streak of eight cuts made in a row, with three consecutive top-15 finishes. Course record is 39-9-39-MC and not many swinging it better right now.

A change of name and a move in the calendar but Fox Den CC still hosts one of the more storied events on the Web.com Tour. The Knoxville Open (formerly News Sentinel Open) has produced some good winners over the years; JJ Henry, Chez Reavie, Chris Kirk, Patton Kizzire to name but a few and I expect quality will win through again.

Michael Hebert was our tip for this last year and although he missed the cut i’m happy to go with the 27-year-old again. On a streak of 8 consecutive cuts made, he’s playing the best golf of his career and has finished T15-T5-T11 on his last three starts.

Positioned in the top-20 for adjusted scoring average and the all-around ranking there’s plenty working well in his game. Before his missed cut last year his record at Fox Den was T39-T9-T39 and given his current form i’d be surprised if he didn’t improve.
