Made In Denmark Tips: Paul Dunne

Paul Dunne has been a stalwart in my staking plan for most of the season and having left him unbacked at the Paul Lawrie Matchplay he almost made me pay. The Irishman was vying for favourtism after the first round of matches and perhaps could have gone all the way but for losing in extra holes to Alejandro Canizares in the last 16.

More important than his match-play record is his performance in stroke play events and they have been good this season, with a near miss at the Trophee Hassan the standout result.

The underlying statistics for Dunne are also encouraging. He is 31st in actual scoring average but 23rd compared to against the field average (adjusted scoring average) and that puts him amongst the top players in the field.

Last year he finished T10 at the Made In Denmark and a top-5 finish or better looks likely. Back Dunne at 33/1 with Coral and get 7 places at 1/5 odds.
