Louisiana Open Tips: Bhavik Patel
On a steady upwards curve and has started the season well with three top-30 finishes, including a T6 in Chile.
Bhavik Patel is into his second season on the Web.com Tour and after finishing 53rd on the money list, he will be eyeing up a lucrative top-25 spot which ensures promotion onto the PGA Tour.
Patel came close to making it into the big time at the end of 2012 when he finished 49th in final qualifying, but a couple of years plying his trade at a lower level will probably benefit him in the long run.
The 23-year-old has started the season with finishes of T29-T6-T26-T51 and ranks 19th for actual scoring average.
The Californian makes plenty of birdies and should go well on his second visit to the Louisiana Open. Back him each-way at 66/1 (William Hill) and get ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
