Lincoln Land Championship Tip: Brian Campbell

Ranked third on tour for GIRs and starting to hit form with finishes of 36-14-MC-4-14 on last five starts. Regularly shooting in the 60s and will go close soon.

The bookmakers go 25/1 the field for the Lincoln Land Championship and that is the story of the Web.com Tour season where no player(s) have stamped their authority on the season. That’s made it tricky to land winners but there’s plenty of players trending in the right direction.

Brian Campbell has three top-14 finishes in his last three starts and in 13 of his last 14 rounds he’s shot 70 or better. The 25-year-old started the season slowly but is motoring now as he looks to regain the PGA Tour card he lost last season.

One of the most accurate players on tour, he is ranked 3rd for GIRs this season and although he is only 41st in scoring average this is skewed by his poor start to the season.

Having gone to the University of Illinois, Springfield is something of a ‘home’ game for Campbell and he arrives in good form.
