KLM Open Tip: Paul Waring

titleist.com

Finished T12 the last time he played Kennemer and the bookies have overreacted to his recent missed cut.

Disappointingly, Paul Waring missed the cut after I tipped him for the European Masters but I am keeping the faith - one poor tournament doesn’t undo all his good work.

Prior to missing the cut in Switzerland, the 28-year-old had finished T6-T18 and was starting to fulfil the promise he’d shown early in his career.

Having lost two seasons to injury the former English amateur champion is making up for lost time and has plenty to play for, with a trip to the season finale in Dubai within his reach.

The last time Waring played at Kennemer Golf Club he finished 12th in the 2008 KLM Open. That experience will stand him in good stead and if the European Masters was just a blip then he should go well at 80/1 (Boylesports).
