John Deere Classic Tips: Zach Johnson

Has finished T2-T21-T3-1-P2 in the last five years and is on the board of directors of the John Deere Classic. Making it very much ‘his’ tournament.

The John Deere Classic is the final PGA Tour event before the Open Championship but for one player it is almost more important than the third major of the year.

Zach Johnson is on the board of directors at the John Deere Classic and it is a tournament he holds close to his heart. When he was trying to find his way in the golfing world back in 2002/2003 it gave him a sponsors’ exemption and he’s been forever grateful.

As well as the emotional ties to the tournament, TPC Deere Run is also a course Zach Johnson plays particularly well.

In the last five years, he’s finished T2-T21-T3-1-P2. That kind of record means he’s impossible to ignore at 14/1 (Stan James).
