John Deere Classic Tip: Chez Reavie

John Deere Classic Tip: Chez Reavie

Leads the tour in proximity to the hole and is 5/6 in cuts made at TPC Deere Run.

The John Deere Classic is one of my favourite betting events of the year, the course always plays the same and you get the same names on the leaderboard. Steve Stricker and Jordan Spieth are multiple winners of this event whilst Zach Johnson is also always thereabouts.

All three a high quality players but most importantly none of them are what you’d consider long hitters. The winning trends at TPC Deere Run are strong, you need to his your approaches close and scramble well in times of crisis.

Chez Reavie is one of three players to fulfil the winning trends and he stands a great chance this week. He is 5/6 in cuts made at the John Deere Classic and finished T5 in 2011.

The 35-year-old arrives in good form with a run of finishes that reads T48-T4-T16-T43. One if the straightest hitters on tour (fourth in driving accuracy) he should set up plenty ranking 1st in proximity to the hole with approach shots. He looks an excellent bet this week.
