Irish Open Tips: Tyrrell Hatton

Finished T4 at the Irish Open last year and working his way back into form after a two-month break. Finished 12-T13 on last two starts.

The Irish Open is the 23rd event in the interminable European Tour schedule but for many players it marks the start of the season proper. Tyrrell Hatton is only making his eighth start of the year but after a two-month hiatus he is running into form.

On his last two starts he has finished 12-T13 and was in the mix at the China Open until a quiet final round dropped him back.

When discussing the 24-year-old it is often a case of when not if he records his first tour win and the K Club could prove to his liking.

Hatton finished T4 at the Irish Open last year (on a different course) and has gone close in numerous big events on the European Tour. Currently ranked 5th in scoring average, if he keeps plugging away eventually a tournament will come to him.

At 66/1 he is a good each-way bet with Paddy Power paying 1/5 odds for a top-7 finish.
